Vyatta's Software Upgrade Service allows you to leverage Vyatta's expert technical team to expedite software upgrades from one subscription edition to another or from community to subscription. Simply tell Vyatta which systems need to be upgraded and Vyatta technical staff can perform the work remotely. Vyatta will ensure that the work gets done with a minimum of downtime and will work with you to schedule the upgrade so that it presents a minimum of disruption to your users. |
Software Upgrade Service activities include:
- Pre-Upgrade: - Make a backup copy of your system configuration
- Check the security of your system
- Manage feature changes
- During the upgrade: - Download the appropriate revision of Vyatta software
- Install the software
- Reboot your system
- Post-Upgrade - Verify that your system is back up
- Verify basic network connectivity
- Perform any required configuration file changes manually
