Vyatta software subscriptions enable customers to deploy routing and security solutions on hardware platforms of their choosing benefiting from the performance and economics of single or multi-core x86-based server hardware. This platform flexibility allows Vyatta customers to connect & secure networks large and small using a single network operating system.
Vyatta software includes support for most commonly used LAN and WAN interfaces (DSL to 10GbE), industry standard routing, security and management protocols, plus all of these features are configurable via a familiar command-line interface (CLI) or web-based graphical user interface (GUI).
Vyatta Subcription Software vs. Vyatta Community Software
Vyatta software is available as a freely downloadable open-source software package, "Vyatta Community Edition", that is recommended for testing and development and as a fully tested, stable and supported software package, "Vyatta Subscription Edition" that is recommended for production network environments.
