Vyatta software tightly integrates enterprise-class routing, security and traffic management to deliver a flexible, affordable open networking solution. Vyatta software removes any reliance on proprietary hardware allowing users to deploy networks that benefit from the performance and economics of standard x86-based hardware.
Vyatta software includes support for most commonly used LAN and WAN interfaces (DSL to 10GbE), industry standard routing, security and management protocols, plus all of these features are configurable via a familiar command-line interface (CLI) or web-based graphical user interface (GUI).
Understanding Vyatta Editions
Vyatta software is available as a freely downloadable open-source software package, "Vyatta Community Edition", that is recommended for testing and development and as a fully tested, stable and supported software package, "Vyatta Subscription Edition" that is recommended for production network environments.
