Vyatta Partnerships

Strategic Partners

Vyatta has developed strategic partnerships with many leading independent software and hardware vendors that develop products and services that are complementary to or benefit from Vyatta's open networking solutions.

Vyatta has joined the Citrix Ready product verification program to create solutions for customers deploying cloud computing infrastructure. The two companies have verified product compatibility between Vyatta's open networking solutions and the Citrix Cloud Center(C3) product family to make it as easy as possible for service providers and enterprises to use Vyatta with Citrix products such as XenDesktop, XenApp, XenServer and NetScaler.

Vyatta is a member of the HP AllianceOne Partner Program. Vyatta and HP are engaged in ongoing engineering projects to define next generation networking using HP's x86 servers and blade systems for both high-performance routing and secure cloud connectivity.

Intel Test: Vyatta network OS, Intel Xeon processor 5500 series and Intel Receive Side Scaling provide 20 Gbps packet-forwarding throughput and run the service applications required by service-rich edge and metro edge routers.

NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation (NESIC)and Vyatta are embracing the massive technology shifts occurring in multi-core x86 processing power and virtualization to deliver the next-generation of networking solutions. Using Vyatta for connectivity, traffic management and VPN, as well as other vendor solutions for load-balancing and additional security, NESIC's CNS is able to deliver a high-performance, low-cost, consolidated network offering for enterprise branch deployments.

Vyatta has joined RACKSPACE, NASA and other leaders from across the technology industry like CITRIX, DELL, NTT DATA, RIGHTSCALE, to drive a deployable, totally open cloud solution. The goal of OpenStack is to allow any organization to create and offer cloud computing capabilities using open source software running on standard hardware.

Open Virtualization Alliance

The mission of the Open Virtualization Alliance is to foster the adoption of KVM as an open virtualization alternative, accelerate the emergence of an ecosystem of third-party solutions around KVM, increase overall awareness and understanding of KVM, encourage interoperability, promote best practices and highlight examples of customer successes. Founding members of the Open Virtualization Alliance include BMC Software, Eucalyptus Systems, HP, IBM, Intel, Red Hat, Inc. and SUSE.

Vyatta has partnered with OpenVPN to deliver an auto-configuring VPN solution for branch offices and remote workers. The integrated solution makes it far easier to configure VPNs for remote sites, reducing implementation time and maintenance costs and delivering a complete VPN solution at a fraction of the cost of proprietary solutions.

Vyatta and Red Hat have partnered to deliver network security to virtual datacenter and cloud services leveraging RHEV and Red Hat KVM hypervisors. Vyatta Network OS is now available as pre-built, optimized and supported RHEV/KVM templates.

Vyatta has partnered with Riverbed to offer the Vyatta Subscription Edition router, firewall and VPN software running on the Riverbed Services Platform (RSP), a virtualized data services platform that allows customers to deploy best-of-breed edge services in a single appliance. This partnership enables branch office consolidation and lowers overall IT costs by delivering WAN optimization and comprehensive routing together.

The unique combination of Vyatta and VMWare delivers the features of enterprise-class secure routing (router, firewall, VPN) in a virtualized or cloud environment. When combined the two allow core networking functions to be virtualized "horizontally," with multiple router, firewall or VPN instances sharing the same hardware, or "vertically," with Vyatta solutions sharing resources with other applications offering reduced infrastructure costs and faster provisioning of new network resources.
