ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST - GOODBYE 2007
The close of 2007 is
imminent and looking back we made some significant strides this
year. We were able to deliver two new major community editions
(VC2 in March and VC3 in October) that included countless new
features and bug fixes. We saw an explosion of new customers
and product downloads (see recently updated
customers page)
and we even managed to have some fun along the way.
Most importantly, through all of these things we have continued to
grow the user community that is at the heart of this company.
Thank you for making this an excellent year at Vyatta, we look
forward to delivering even bigger and better things for you in 2008.
As always, if you have questions, suggestions, ideas, wants, needs,
gripes etc - tmccafferty @ vyatta.com

I'm sure we won't have to
use any marketing magic to influence your opinions of these
competing "open" announcements from Cisco and Juniper last week.

respective PR folks) for highlighting the importance of open-source
in networking ...

"At the moment, users are paying their
network vendors to re-invent the wheel, duplicating the same router
software functions on different families of hardware, just because those
router vendors want to keep control, and keep their margins high." |
