At the end of a busy
month of tradeshows and product announcements (see
New Vyatta 2501
Appliance below), we also managed to win an
InfoWorld
Bossie Award (Best of Open Source) and were named as an Information
Week Top 10 Startup. So now our egos are overinflated
and we will be taking lots of long weekends as the
summer winds down. (I can dream, can't I?)
The truth is that we are nearing the completion of VC4.1 and have begun
the march to VC5 (Q4). |

VC4.1 Beta

VC4.1 (aka "Hollywood") is an incremental update to VC4 that fixes some issues and includes
some new, experimental features to test prior to VC5.
Currently, VC4.1 is at the Beta 3 milestone. This release is
suitable for non-critical production use.
Please put it
through the ringerand report any bugs before the final release. This is
the last beta
release planned
before VC4.1 (Hollywood) is released.
The major new features in this
release, since VC4.0, include:
> Experimental: Intrusion
Detection and Prevention
> Experimental: Anti-virus
> Increased support for SNMP
MIBs and traps.
> 'copy' and 'rename' commands
in configuration mode.
> BGP MD5 support has been
added.
> Support for the Sangoma S518
ASDL card
> Integrated drivers for the
Sangoma A142
(dual-port) and A144
(quad-port)
serial cards,
providing X.21 and V.35 interfaces.
