It's amazing how quickly IT has become a VM world. Arriving in Las Vegas for the VMWorld conference has reminded us just how big of a movement this is. At the conference center this morning at 8am there had to be more than 10,000 people and that's just in the halls between sessions.
We are very excited to be coming into this event on the heels of our [[ Version 6.3 release last week][http://www.vyatta.com/news-events/press_releases/2011/vyatta-network-os-extends-virtual-security-red-hat-kvm-amazon]] showcasing our expanding support for Amazon VPC and Red Hat KVM. In addition to continued feature build out, extending the Vyatta Network OS to all virtual and cloud environments regardless of hypervisor is an important step in supporting our customers. VYATTA NETWORK OS 6.3 NOW AVAILABLE
In case you didn’t hear, last week we announced the availability of Vyatta Network OS 6.3 featuring improved virtual security for Red Hat KVM and Amazon Web Services.
Depending on how you are counting, Vyatta Network OS 6.3 marks our ninth major release. With this release, not only do we support all of today’s top hypervisors, but add Broadcom 10GbE drivers to complement our Intel 10GbE support.

AMAZON CLOUD, MEET VYATTA
With the release of Vyatta Network OS 6.3, we will be supporting the Amazon cloud starting, September 15th. What does that mean for you?
As enterprises explore cloud projects in Amazon VPC they may find the constraints of Amazon’s basic network offering do not align with their network topology requirements. The Vyatta Network OS for Amazon overcomes these limitations by delivering an Amazon AMI that includes a complete network operating system encompassing routing and security to expand users’ topology options and more closely replicate a multi-tiered enterprise network architecture in the cloud.
