Network QA Test Engineer

The Network QA engineer is responsible for all stages of the quality assurance
process. This person should have an in-depth understanding of IP
networking technology and protocols. A zest and love for technology, and
a demonstrated ability to learn new things will be a key element in this
environment, since the QA Engineer will be working with an exciting
combination of networking, security, cloud computing, and virtualization
environments.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

·         MS/CS degree or equivalent

·         3+ years technical experience in the area of computer networks, data networking, product support or testing. Experience with lab and test equipment such as SmartBits traffic generator desirable but not required.Prior experience configuring and testing routing protocols.

·         Experience and knowledgein IP routing protocols networking: OSPF, BGP, IPv4, IPv6, VPN, TCP, UDP, Firewall, NAT, IDS/IPS, SNMP

·         Knowledge of Linux(debian, Ubuntu), Virtualization, C, scripting languages (at least one from Javascript, TCL, or Perl)

·         Proficiency creating and executing test cases

Responsibilities

·         Participate in Product Requirements and Functional Specifications

·         Define test plans and test cases for functional, performance, and system testing

·         Perform manual testing and automate test execution

·         Record and track product defects

·         Recreate customer-reported defects to clarify problem definitions.
