Job Title: Lead Network QA Automation Engineer

Role:
The Lead Network QA Automation Engineer is responsible for all stages of the quality assurance process. This person should have an in-depth understanding of IPnetworking technology and protocols as well as experience of using testing tools, QA methodology and QA Automation.
A zest for technology and a demonstrated ability to learn new things is essential in this position - you will be working with an exciting combination of security, networking, cloud computing and virtualization technologies. You will also be responsible for interfacing with software engineers and support to deliver an awesome QA service.<
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Product Requirements Document (PRD) reviews and contributed with detail specification of features to be developed and tested for new networking products (developed by Vyatta)
- Define test plans and test cases for the release of new features or to be covered by regression testing
- Perform manual testing covering the network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, RIP, PIM, DNS, DHCP, DHCP-relay, Radius, Radius Proxy and VoIP technology, etc.
- Create, execute, maintain and report on product feature performance, conformance, and regression tests
- Automate QA testing for the features tested during a release
- Record and track product defects
- Recreate customer-reported defects to clarify problem definitions.
Requirements:
- 10+ years technical experience in the area of computer networks, data networking testing (manual and automation)
- Knowledge of Linux, C, scripting languages (at least one from Javascript, TCL, or Perl). Extensive knowledge in software testing methodologies
- Experience of creating an automated regression framework and experience of addition automated test cases for Functional, System, and Performance testing and qualification
- Experience with network switches and routers configuration
- Working knowledge of testing routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
- Working knowledge of testing network security features, such as Firewall and VPN
