FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEVyatta Targets Cisco Gross Profits
Vyatta Discount Turns Cisco’s “Gross” Margin Structure into a Sweet Deal for Customers
Belmont, CA 2009-05-04 05:00:00 Vyatta, the leader in open networking and network virtualization, today introduced a special discount offer on all Vyatta service and support subscriptions. Starting today, register on the Vyatta site for a discount code redeemable against the purchase of a Vyatta subscription. The size of the discount will depend on the size of Cisco’s gross margin, calculated after Cisco announces earnings on May 6.
What: For a limited time, users can register to take advantage of discounted prices on Vyatta service and support subscriptions. On May 6, all registrants will receive a discount code good for the purchase of a Vyatta subscription at a substantially discounted rate. The size of the discount all depends on the size of Cisco’s gross profit margin. If Cisco’s gross margin equals 63 percent, discount code holders will pay only 63 percent of list price for a Vyatta subscription (a 37 percent discount!). The lower Cisco's gross profit margin, the more you save.
Where: Go to http://www.vyatta.com/promo/ to register for your Vyatta subscription discount today. When: Registration is open now. All registrants will receive a discount code after Cisco announces its earnings on Wednesday, May 6. The discount is good for subscription purchases through Friday, May 8 at 5:00pm PT.
Why: Cisco has one of the largest gross profit margins in the IT industry. In today’s recessionary economic climate, Vyatta believes customers should have access to a reasonably priced alternative. And open networking provides just that – all the performance and functionality at a fraction of the cost.
