Kelly Herrell: Chief Executive Officer, Vyatta
As CEO and member of the Board of Directors, Kelly provides the strategic leadership and vision for Vyatta and drives it through to rapid execution. Kelly has a proven track record for growing companies based on open source in the systems, embedded and telephony industries. Before joining Vyatta, Kelly was the SVP of Strategic Operations at MontaVista Software, the world's pre-eminent embedded Linux supplier, where he led the strategic focus into telecommunications equipment and mobile phones. Today operators around the world such as NTT DoCoMo have network infrastructure and tens of millions of mobile phones in use that are based on MontaVista Linux.

Prior to joining MontaVista, Kelly was Vice President of Marketing for Cobalt Networks, the dominant provider of open source-based server appliances for web hosting. After helping drive the company growth through an explosive IPO and beyond, he played a key role in driving its successful $2.3B merger with Sun Microsystems.

Previous to Cobalt, Kelly was VP of Marketing for CacheFlow (Nasdaq: BCSI), directed worldwide marketing for Oracle's database products, and served in various product- and market-focused roles at NCR, Teradata and AT&T. Kelly holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Marketing from Washington State University, and an MBA from Cornell University.


Tom Bevilacqua: Managing Partner, ArrowPath Venture Partners
Tom founded ArrowPath in 1997 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings over 25 years of Silicon Valley experience as an executive, general manager, investor and advisor to technology driven companies.

Prior to ArrowPath, Tom served as an Executive Vice President of E*TRADE Financial. At E*TRADE, Tom held a number of operational roles and was instrumental in establishing E*TRADE's successful acquisition and investment strategies. Tom was previously a Partner at two of Silicon Valley's leading law firms, where he lead practice groups targeting the needs of technology start-ups. In this role, Tom served as an advisor in over 250 public and private financings.

Tom currently serves on the Board of Active Reasoning, BlueRoads, Innotas, MetaLincs, Remend, and Xceedium. Prior investments and Board seats include Digital Island (acquired by Cable & Wireless), Critical Path (CPTH), NetSec (acquired by MCI), Immunix (acquired by Novell), Sanera (acquired by McData), Persist (acquired by Hewlett-Packard) and Knight Trading Group (NITE).

Tom received his B.S. in Business Administration and J.D. from the University of California.


Shahan Soghikian: Venture Partner, Panorama Capital

Mr. Soghikian is a co-founder of Panorama and focuses primarily on technology investments. In 1990, Mr. Soghikian joined Chemical Venture Partners, the predecessor to JPMorgan Partners. Between 1994 and 1998, he was responsible for developing and managing JPMP's European investment team and was based in London. Mr. Soghikian was previously a member of the mergers and acquisitions group at both Bankers Trust, Inc. and Prudential-Bache Securities, Inc. (currently known as Prudential Equity Group, LLC). He was responsible for and/or on the board of directors of Aecom Technology, McAfee (Dr. Solomon's Anti Virus), Computacenter, Equant, Kinko's, ONI Systems, Petco, Seagate, Thermoscan, Yipes and Tidal Software.


Dr. David Newman
Dave Newman is an independent director and early advisor to Vyatta. In addition to Vyatta he is currently on the board of Lightstorm Networks (Galway, Ireland) and Cswitch. He previously led investments in Pathscale, Redline Networks and SiLutia, all of which have been acquired by public companies.

Dave spent most of his career in the computer and networking industries at Rapid City, FORE , Alantec. He previously spent 9 years at Digital Equipment Corp and began his career in wafer fabrication at Fairchild Semiconductor.

Dave has a PhD from in Electrical Engineering Colorado State University, an MS in Physics form the University of Connecticut and a BS in Physics from City College of New York.


Gordon Payne: Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Desktop Division for Citrix.
Gordon is responsible for the group's revenue attainment, product management, business development and strategic direction. Prior to this position, Gordon served as group vice president and general manager, for Citrix's Advanced Solutions Group and as the product line executive of Emerging Products for the company's Virtualization Systems Group. In both roles, Gordon was responsible for leading cross-functional teams to bring new and unique solutions to market. A network business veteran on an international scale, Payne provides product leadership with a focus on identifying new market opportunities and creating winning business and product solutions for Citrix customers and partners.
