In case you missed the story last month Intel demonstrated 40Tbps routing on a blade system. Yes, this is experimental but it's a clear indication of two things that benefit the Vyatta community:
- Intel is very interested in delivering network capable platforms

In the past three years packet throughput performance of a single CPU Intel server has increased 100X.
